HARIDWAR: Three persons, including a hotel manager, have been arrested in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a 30-year-old married woman in Haridwar.Police said the woman was waiting for an autorickshaw at Haridwar bus station on Friday night when a man offered to drop her home. Instead, he took her to a hotel, called his friend, and the two allegedly raped her.The woman, along with her husband, approached the police the next morning. Following their complaint, two drivers, aged 35 and 26, were arrested within hours.The 37-year-old hotel manager was later arrested for allegedly providing a room without verifying identity documents and failing to make an entry in the hotel register.SHO Ritesh Sah said the complaint was received on Saturday morning. “We arrested all three accused within a few hours. A case has been registered, and CCTV footage has been recovered for further investigation,” he said.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
