'Not putting troops': Trump on deploying soldiers in Iran; warns Netanyahu not to attack Tehran gas fields

US President Donald Trump on Thursday said the America would not deploy ground troops in Iran, weeks after launching large-scale missile and air strikes alongside Israel.“If I were, I certainly wouldn’t tell you. But I’m not putting troops,” Trump told reporters during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.“If I were, I certainly would not tell you. We will do whatever is necessary to keep the price low,” he added.Trump also said he had cautioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against targeting energy infrastructure in Iran.“I told him, don’t do that, and he won’t do that,” Trump said. “We get along great. It’s coordinated, but on occasion, he’ll do something that the United States opposes,” he added. He further claimed that Iran’s leadership had been significantly weakened, saying, “They are looking for new leaders again” and “Iran leadership is gone.”
