Gaza toddler released from Israeli custody with suspected torture wounds | World News

A toddler returned to his mother with burns on each leg after being held by Israeli forces – with a doctor describing them as marks of “torture” likely caused by deliberate cigarette burns.

Jawad Abu Nassar was detained alongside his father in central Gaza and returned to his family alone, 10 hours later.

The Israeli military says the claims are “completely unfounded” and that Jawad’s father, who remains missing, was a Hamas member who used him as a human shield.

John Sparks reports.
