'Targeting civilians, infrastructure unacceptable': PM Modi after Iran strikes on UAE's Fujiarah injured 3 Indians

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday condemned the Iranian attack on UAE’s Fujairah that resulted in injuries to three Indian nationals.In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Strongly condemn the attacks on the UAE that resulted in injuries to three Indian nationals. Targeting civilians and infrastructure is unacceptable.“India stands in firm solidarity with the UAE and reiterates its support for the peaceful resolution of all issues through dialogue and diplomacy. Ensuring safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is vital for enduring regional peace, stability and global energy security,” the Prime Minister added.According to reports, the injuries occurred after a strike triggered a fire at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone. Authorities said the injured were taken to hospital, with their condition described as moderate. The incident comes as the ceasefire between US-Iran seems on the brink of collpase as peace talks have seemingly hit a deadend.
