Protections for emperor penguins in focus as Antarctica talks start in Japan




Greater protections for Antarctica’s emperor penguins, which could put restrictions on shipping and tourism, come under discussion on Tuesday as around 400 government officials and researchers from 50 countries meet in Hiroshima for an annual summit on the world’s southernmost continent.
