Airtel ties up with Google to check frauds

NEW DELHI: Airtel has partnered with Google to roll out more secure messaging in India, aimed against spam and digital fraud, by combining telecom grade checks with Google’s Rich Communications Services (RCS) platform. The collaboration brings Airtel’s network intelligence together with Google’s RCS messaging and spam filters, allowing users to send and receive messages such as high-quality photos, videos and reactions, while adding multiple layers of protection against fraudulent and spam messages. Under the new system, business messages will go through real time verification.
