GURGAON: Three members of a family died after being hit by a speeding and rashly driven Mahindra Thar in a street in Khor village in Pataudi on Friday late evening.The deceased were identified as 70-year-old Subash and his two grandsons Ishant (8) and Zaid (10). According to the police, Subash was taking a stroll along with sons of his daughter around 11:30 pm in his street when a rashly driven Thar car hit them from rear side. The trio sustained critical injuries and were rushed to local hospital in Pataudi from where they were referred to local civil hospital in Gurgaon where they succumbed to their injuries. The accused fled the spot after leaving his vehicle at the spot. After being informed, Pataudi police reached the spot and sent the bodies to local mortuary. “The children are from Alwar and had visited their grandfather in holidays. After having dinner, the victims were walking near their house but were crushed by a Thar. The driver is absconding but will be held soon”, a cop said.
