Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is not impressed with AI, says it may not replace humans as for that you need to live as ...

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has shared a cautious view on artificial intelligence (AI) saying that the technology has a long way to go before it could actually match or replace humans. Speaking during a CNN interview ahead of the iPhone maker’s 50th anniversary on April 1, Wozniak said AI may improve over time but lacks key human qualities such as emotions, understanding and real-life experience. Explaining further, Wozniak said that AI “hasn’t lived a human life” which he feels is necessary to “understand what humans are going through to sometimes catch those little nuances in the way you speak.”“Do you think that it can get better and ultimately replace humans in some regards?,” the CNN host asked. To this, Steve Wozniak replied: “I’ve seen no sign yet that we understand well enough how the brain works to get to that point that it replaces the human; has emotions; cares about things; wants to help others; wants to be a good person,” Steve Wozniak said, adding “No, I don’t I don’t see any signs of that yet”.

Apple co-founder: Making a human brain is not that simple

Talking about how companies are trying to build AI systems similar to the human brain, Wozniak made a light remark, saying creating a real human brain takes “nine months,” referring to human birth.“I often read things and they just sound too dry and too perfect, and I want something from a human being, and I’m disappointed a lot,” Wozniak said.He suggested that building something as complex as human intelligence is not as easy as current AI efforts may suggest.
