Infosys has appointed Hindustan Unilever Ltd’s non-executive chairman Nitin Paranjpe as non-executive vice chairman of its board with immediate effect, PTI reported on Wednesday.“The Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Nitin Paranjpe as non-executive Vice Chairman of the Board with immediate effect,” the company said in a statement.Paranjpe is also non-executive vice chairman of Heineken NV.Infosys said Paranjpe brings wide leadership experience, including his current roles as non-executive chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd and non-executive vice chairman of Heineken NV.“We are delighted to have Nitin in this position. His expertise has already made a significant impact on the Board, and we look forward to his continued leadership in this expanded role.“I will continue as the Chairman of the Board as long as necessary, and there is no plan for a chairman transition,” Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani said.The company said that as vice chairman, Paranjpe will support the chairman in guiding the board and its strategic agenda.
