COIMBATORE: Coimbatore city police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly staging a video in which he acted like a “zombie” in a public place and posted it on social media.The accused has been identified as H Badhusa Khan from Karumbukadai in Coimbatore city.According to police, the accused recorded a video standing motionless and behaving in an unusual manner in a public area, imitating drug-induced “zombie-like” behaviour.The video was later uploaded online to gain attention and increase social media engagement.Following the circulation of the video, police registered a case.He was subsequently arrested and produced before a court, which remanded him in judicial custody.During investigation, officials found that the act was deliberately staged, with the accused aiming to attract likes and views on social media platforms by mimicking drug users.
